You’ll be hard pressed to find a more charming town in the Denver Suburbs than Littleton, Colorado. Littleton was founded in 1890 by Richard Sullivan Little, an engineer from New Hampshire who made his way out West to work on irrigation systems during the Gold Rush. Today, Main Street in Downtown Littleton is a popular destination for locals. Some of my favorite spots in Littleton include The Littleton Museum (free admission), Breckenridge Brewery, Carboy Winery, Dirt Coffee, Toast and Lucile’s for brunch, Adelita’s for Mexican food, and Kate’s Wine Bar for happy hour ($5 glasses of wine).
Littleton is also home to the United States’ busiest Melting Pot, which has been investigated by a number of paranormal research teams over the years, since it is considered to be the most haunted location in Colorado. The 1917 historic building it is housed in used to be a library then a police station and jail. I don’t have an opinion on that, but the fondue IS hauntingly delicious.
